About NCMEF

Through a grant from the Eli Lilly Foundation, the Missionary Church, North Central District has been able to establish the North Central Ministerial Excellence Fund (NCMEF).

Lilly's goal in providing the grant was “to alleviate the financial burdens carried by pastors and thereby strengthen the quality of pastoral leadership and enhance the vitality of Indiana congregations.”

While there are a wide variety of needs, the NCMEF is focused on the following:

  • Assist pastors with educational debt.
  • Assist retired pastors with the cost of their supplemental health insurance.
  • Assist pastors who face unforeseen crises or emergencies.
  • Provide professionally led education events for pastors, church boards, and congregations regarding the financial health of our pastors.
